GREEN RESEARCH MICROGRANTS 2023

Following on from the success of our Green Research programme in 2022, we’re relaunching with a new focus on Intergenerational Green Action!

We’re working with leading housing association Clarion Futures, alongside an Intergenerational Board, to create access to Green Microgrants for community groups working within social housing communities.

We will be offering seasonal funding up to the value of £1000 for your patch. This could include money for creating a nature haven, making patches a bit prettier, or running some fun activities! 🌻🐝

In this first round we are interested in projects that support nature and bring people young and old together to protect nature together in the autumn & winter.

The micro grant is available through a £1.2m programme funded by the participating housing associations with additional support from the #iwill Fund – a joint fund from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and The National Lottery Community Fund that supports young people to access high quality social action opportunities.

To access our Green Microgrants, participants will need to complete our Green Research survey with an intergenerational group to collect information about the outdoor spaces in estates near them. We provide all of the questions, a toolkit and snacks so that research teams can have fun and tell us more about the spaces where they live.

The funding criteria

The project idea must engage min. 15 young people aged 7-25

Organisations that apply must be connected to a local housing association – preference will be given to those taking action on social housing estates

The ideas must be youth-led

Groups must fill out our green research survey by the end of each round:

 🍂 Autumn/Winter: December 2023 ❄️

🌸 Spring/Summer: June 2024🌞

Action must be delivered and impact reporting completed by the end of the following season (3 months).

You must tell us what impact the project has had, as well as some info about who you have supported!

To kick start the action we will…
